NEWS & InFO

Now for something we the committee, did not expect. The City Council has changed it's mind and will only refurbish 31 homes in the harthill road and woodrove close. We have had a meeting with the City Council and Office of the deputy prime minister, and all we got was an increase from 24 homes to 31 homes. We are disgusted with this outcome, as we know that the money which was for this estate is now being put into ALMO's to raise their homes to decent home standard plus. We think that this is unjustified, and we are still the forgotten estate just because we have dared to look. As one officier said, it would not be value for money to do it all of the said homes, and that is before we have a yes or no vote for stock transfer. There will be some letters coming soon to tenants and residents in kilvington road and chadwick road to display a card in the window. You will then recieve a call from your local MP meg munn. She will try to answer your queries. Please let her know what your feelings are.
